Suggested Itinerary:

Breakfast:

Start your day with a great homemade breakfast. Downies Cafe in Bay City is a traditional breakfast diner serving the community since 1985. We recommend the Cinnamon French Toast, omelets or any of the tasty Benedict dishes. Allow 75 minutes.

Morning Walk:

Kilchis Point Reserve is a beautiful, protected area and neighbor to Sheltered Nook. It's an easy walking flat trail with benches and restored native forest with interpretive signage. Enjoy a walk through the heart of a coastal forest noticing how the local critters have returned to their restored habitat.  Follow the trail through the woods and over the bridges to where you’ll be treated to an expansive bay view featuring Egrets and Great Blue Herons. Allow 60 minutes.

Fishing & Crabbing Adventure:

Ready for an on the water adventure? These are guided trips where you can learn from the pros who are on the water every day. There are a variety of different tours available based on your interests, time, skill and physical limitations.  Tours vary by season and are subject to change depending on weather and water conditions. Allow 4-5 hours.

Afternoon Beachcombing:

Take a drive to Oceanside for a leisurely stroll along this gorgeous beach featuring the Three Arch Rocks just offshore. Search for agates, fossils, seashells, driftwood, and the occasional mystery from the sea.  https://visittheoregoncoast.com/cities/oceanside/ Allow 2.5 hours including drive.

Evening:

Return home to Sheltered Nook, freshen up, and enjoy a beverage sitting around the community fire-pit. After a great day exploring, enjoy preparing your fresh catch on the BBQ at your tiny-house or let someone else cook and head out to a local dining spot like the Garibaldi Portside Bistro. It’s been a day of adventuring, time for some rest. Sweet dreams.

Allow... As long as it takes.
